So I'm having body changes. I've posted to Living Healthier One Day at a Time here at HoopCity to get advice. To my great relief I've found that the issues I'm having are normal. Headaches, heartburn, and explosive trips to the toilet are to be expected when making big changes in your life. I'm just glad to know that I'm not very abnormal in this.

I'm not able to do any tricks yet, not different from my first entry. However I am able to hoop backwards, or hoop in the direction opposite to the one that feels most natural to me. I'm a right handed person that hoops to the left, and I'm starting to get a hand hold on hooping to the right. It feels GREAT!

Work outs leave me sweating, and satisfied. I've got my hoop out and am getting in it when I get tired of sitting down watching the TV, and can keep the hoop up for an entire commercial break and then some.

My boyfriend loves how much I'm smiling. He also thinks that the videos of men hooping, doing isolation, and poi are cool. I'm thinking that I might be able to get him into hooping too. He's as over weight as I am, and just as ready for change.

One of the next things I want to work on is making some of my own hoops. I want to use the pop rivet method shown here . But I'm not going to switch over to the light weight stuff yet. Any suggestions? I don't want to get into selling hoops, just making things for myself, friends, and family.
