So yesterday I received my first hoop, a 3/4" 100 psi in a 39". The colors are oh so lovely, I hooped for two hours straight, didn't want to stop there but my hip was starting to get really sore lol. Today I'm sporting my initiation bruises, so worth it :)

Initiation bruises!  Hell yeah!  I wish I had a picture of my body every day since I started hooping.  You would see the bruises migrate from the ankles and knees and hips/waist to the chest, hands and eventually, the face!  LOL!

Lol, cant wait for the one on my hip to heal so I can get back to hooping and learn some tricks, getting anxious :) hope it makes my tummy nice and tone to lol, I have a hard time sticking to a workout but so far I love hooping, so much more than a workout, lots of fun :)

Yes, I think hooping is exercise that is much more easier to stick to than any other. After a week of hooping it made me sick to even see the hoop :D overdose, I guess? I hooped about 4 hours a day. Not so much anymore, but several times a week, when I feel like it. I sometimes at least imagine I can actually see my abbs ;) and posture is better now than it was on janyary when I started.

I've never stuck to any exercise plan but this...been committed for a year now and loving it.  Body is looking toner and I have lost 25 lbs so far.

yayyayayay!!! I look back and smile when I think of my first days with hoop :) We stayed out all day to play, even though all I could do was try to keep it on my hips as long as possible until it dropped, then to pick it up again. It's also the best workout not just for the body, but the mind. Sending love to you sister! I hope the hoop brings as much love and light to your life as it did mine <3

Thank you <3 I'm already trying to get some of my friends to hoop with me, they look at me like I'm crazy lol, but its soo fun :) and your right, such great meditation, so easy to forget about all of life's stress. Mind, body and soul, coming together to the rhythm and music :)

Yess. I think the thing I learned that is the most profound from ze hoop, and I found this especially in learning new tricks and transitions, is to celebrate the beauty of the way your body and other hoopers bodies move naturally, and not to doubt and hestitate (because usually that keeps your from learning the trick faster too!). Everything your body does is natural and beautiful and so RIGHT and will lead you to new heights if you just trust and flow with it. Hope to cross paths with you sometime and hoop it up :D
