okay, so my goal for my hoop jams in the future has altered slightly.....this morning I was looking in the mirror and went to go bend down....only now do i realize how much different(and by different i mean better) my right side ab area looks than my left....i assume that this stems from the fact i have only been spinning for the last year and a half as a left current hooper(i think my interpretation of this is correct). I CAN hoop to the right it is definitely more difficult though. I also knew that this was coming when i started trying to do the whole teaching gig so i was already working on it. In any case, now i feel lopsided! My goal for tonight.....baby steps, hoop to one full song (hopefully a lengthier one) waist hooping only, in my opposite current.....wish me luck!

Yipes! At least you can say with confidence, "no wait, let me turn this way for the photo... This is my better half." :-) Hehe. Good luck on your exploring the other side... It's tough hey? Even if you can keep it up no problem, you suddenly feel like a beginner again... :-S

Yes going the opposite direction is a crazy work out. If I knew i would have always switched sides. I have two friends that i passed that advice to in the beginning and both can hoop on either side no problem, I have a hard time! Working on it! Girl it seems like Everything you do I'm learning almost 3days later..OR DOING OR WHATEVER. cool

I just started playing with both directions.
Its seems to be an easier learning curve than learning how to hoop all over again. Your body already knows what to do, your mind seems to be the biggest problem.

I pretending i was learning all over again and when ever i got discouraged i would go back to the other side. Back and forth. I can now to most of my tricks both ways. It really helps with flow and i strongly recommend to keep trying.

Best of luck

Try doing it blind folded. It helped me a lot. Feel how the moves when way then try it the other.
