Not really tied to massage, but I have wondered about hoop dance therapy. Dance therapy already exists (and you can get a degree in it), and I think that hoop dance therapy could be particularly useful to people battling eating disorders, food addiction, and body issues. I know it's helped me!

I took massage therapy many years ago. Loved the class...
but...then came the practicum...
I lived in an oil field town, full of smelly rig workers who wanted a massage after having been in stinky work boots for 12+ hrs...
you get the picture.
I got turned off of it quickly....
I hope it works out better for you, and I'm happy not everyone feels the same way, because I love getting massages!!!
My job now is pretty stressful at this pint in time. I take my hoop most days and use it on my breaks to unwind, and escape! it definitely helps me to unwind. I rely on it for that now.
