It's been awhile. I will be short and to the point about the most hooptastic things that have happened recently. On Christmas Eve I got an email from the Jay Leno Show asking permission to play this video on the show:

Of course I said yes. But I haven't heard anything back. Lately I haven't been hooping alot. IT's cold and snowy outside. Many of my weekly hoop classes were canceled due to no one showing up. Dragging the coffee table around in the living room is a drag. A week ago I stumbled upon this video:

I was so inspired by it that it jolted me in to a hooping whirlwind that I needed so desperately! It has moves that I had never seen before. I love the laid back, chill, you-don't-exactly-have-to-be-a -dancer-to-be-a-hooper-vibe and I absolutely love the music. I ended up downloading 4 of Fort Knox Five's songs that day and they are my new favorite band! I also turned my computer/spare bedroom into a hoop room! My husband even took down the ceiling fan for me. And when I connected with Madison Orange to tell her I was having trouble copying a couple of her tricks she made some tutorials just for me. I've been on a hooping rampage ever since. Next weekend I am going to a HoopPath workshop in Boulder which will be bliss on so many levels. I have never been taught by a real live person. Just internet videos. In fact, I've only hooped with one person that didnt' actually learn from me. And we only hooped for 2 hours. I need a warm body to learn from!!! Anyways, not only do I get to learn from the talented Baxter:

I've been a fan of this guy from the very beginning and I can't believe I get to meet him let alone learn from him! Also teaching will be the incredible Brecken. She just released this new video that is absolutely mind blowing:
If you only watch one of the videos I've posted on this blog... let it be this one. AMAZEBALLS! Okay, so not only do I get to learn from these gurus and play with real live hoopers but the hooper who was nice enough to let me stay with her for the weekend, is also housing Bax and Brecken! AND I get to see my hooptwin Michelle who was the one and only I got to hoop with for 2 hours whom I met on this site. AND it's in Boulder, where I've not had the pleasure of visiting but have always wanted to. Can you see how flipped out fun this is going to be?
Well, that is the latest. Hoop on.

Yay, Lealyn! I'm super excited about my upcoming Hoop Path workshop too. I'm on-line taught too, so every time I start thinking about learning from a real, breathing hooper, I feel like I'll pop. Thanks for posting the vids...you have a great eye for sweet hooping. Brecken is so fierce when she hoops!
