Once I have some extra money, once the boyfriend gifts me with money, I'm going to start making hoops. I'm not, however, going to sell hoops for a profit to anyone.

I would like to give hoops to people I love. Unfortunately that would get very expensive after a bit. So I'm going to offer to make beginner hoops for people I know and love, charging them only what it costs me to make the hoop and gifting them my time and effort. This will allow me to continue to make hoops for myself and others.

There are many reasons that I don't want to get into selling hoops. I want Hoop Dance to be about fun and self improvement, not about money. Also if you become a merchant there are responsibility to your customers so on and so forth, and all I want to do is share hooping with the people I love best.

My cousin Joyce, who is my mother's age and 1st cousin, has already told me that she wants a hoop :D And I am very excited to make it for her. I'd also like to give hoops to my two little cousins, my godmother, and my mom. I already have an entire 100ft coil of tubing used up, and I haven't even bought it yet ;P Cause lets face it I'm going to want a new hoop myself, the boyfriend needs one of his own too ^ ^

As soon as I started hooping, I started giving hoops to my family & friends. What I did was to give them as birthday/Christmas presents. I would have given them something anyway, & this way I could spread the hoop love too! Now all my nieces, my sister, & my Mom have hoops, along with many of my friends. I'd have given them to the guys too, but none of them seemed interested. :( I made one for my hubby anyway, but he hoops oh so rarely. Still, it's worth it for that rare moment!

When I first started making hoops, I went on a major binge and ended up with about 2 dozen hoops of various sizes. I've sold one and given a couple more away (snuck one into a cousin's SUV at a family reunion), and I'll be glad if I can give away/sell a few more at the hoop jam I'm hosting in two weeks. Giving hoops away is almost as much fun as making them... :)
