hmm...advanced beginner

How often do you hoop?
usually daily for at least 30 mins, ive gone without doing for a week, i was very anxious during that week!

Do you have an indoor hoop space?
nope...but i prefer hooping outside anyways

Is there a hoop group where you live?
sort of, there's jams during the summer and then a general fire arts play/jam/meetup every week

Did you start it?
nope

Would you say that you are obsessed with or addicted to hooping?
mildly addicted, moving into obsession...if i dont hoop for a few days i get sort of cranky, it's become a great release and my only form of exercise

not yet!

Do you have friends nearby to hoop with?
ive gotten some of them sort of into it, as well as my boyfriend :D

Do you teach hooping? If so, how many people have you taught?
nope

What kind of songs do you listen to while hooping?
dubstep, pop, whatever really? I suck at classifying music

Do you buy hoops or make your own?
buy, hopefully i will start making some soon

Have you lost weight since starting to hoop?
nope, but i have gained muscle, most notably in arms and legs

What size is your favorite hoop?
i only have one, a 40", but im hoping to make a smaller one soon

Are you comfortable hooping by yourself in a public place?
kind of, i dont like being stared/pointed at, but i guess it goes with the territory

Who is your favorite hoop teacher?
i dont have any teachers irl, but online i like caroleena and safire a lot

What advice would you give to to beginner hoopers?
keep yourself open and curious, play around, feel the hoop on your body, laugh at yourself

Do you fire hoop? If not, do you want to?
i do! soooo bad, but I need to wait to get paid until I can buy one

Do own an LED hoop? Where did you get it?
nope, but hoping to buy one soon

probably too much

liftup/corkscrew? it felt soooo good

errr, just a basic jump through

What trick so far was the hardest for you to learn?
behind the back double elbow pass

Which one are you finding is almost impossible to get?
so far i havent tried anything that hard, although bringing it from my waist to my chest consistently without arms is a pain. sometimes its perfect, other times it hits my boobs and refuses to pass them

How many hoopers would you say live in your town/city?
a decent amount im sure, although i only personally know a few

Have you performed hooping in front of an audience?
no O_O only friends

Has anyone told you you were too old to be playing with a hula hoop?

What’s the worst injury you’ve acquired from the hoop?
nothing too bad, just hit my ankle a few times, or my head
