Playing around with ribbon :-D

Ok I've entered a new and exciting territory here... and I can see I'm going to get nothing else done this week!
I went to the craft store and bought ribbon to expiriment with and here is my first creation:


I call her the Burlesque Kitten! :-)

I can't wait to make more! Oh the ideas.... oh the ideas! :-D
Here's a pic of the other ribbon I got (and my specialty tapes):


And yes those are rinestones! I'm gonna stick them on and then cover them up with clear vinyl tape for protection.

Yep Kay the black trim in gaffer, but also the ribbon is cloth so it's grippy too!

Very nice! Did you do anything special to keep the ribbon in place, such as glue or double sided tape?

I put small squares of double sided tape on the outside of the hoop as I spiraled the ribbon around to hold it in place. But it's really the gaffer trim that is responsable for keeping it there. :-)

Where are you getting such thin bits of the gaffers tape? Identi-Tape?

I just made one using that same wired zebra ribbon in your box =)...ribbon vs. tape actually stays put pretty well and I think it actually is a lot easier to get a perfectly even spiral!
