Please support Hooping for Hope as we hoop the half marathon for YOU!

As some of you know, myself & 70 other women be hooping the Country Music Half-Marathon in Nashville on April 24, 2010. Yes, you read that right -- HOOPING 13.1 miles!!

Hooping the Half is the major fundraiser for Hooping for Hope, our non-profit sponsored in part by Hooprama. H4H provides free hoop fitness classes & hoops to survivors of breast cancer. Why? Why not! As any breast cancer survivor can attest, fighting cancer takes away your laughter, light, fun and sexuality. I've heard several women state they just don't feel like themselves, much less BEAUTIFUL or a WOMAN, during and after their battle. By providing these classes, we are providing these women with what has been taken away from them & more. They can make friends, laugh, live, love and they do end up feeling sexy...shouldn't they get to experience what we do in the hoop?

We need your assistance to further our vision of expanding Hooping for Hope beyond Nashville. We want to one day take it across the country and maybe, if the universe allows & we work hard enough, across the globe. Please, take the time to visit our site, read our mission & our personal stories.....every penny counts, so please don't think you have to donate a lot. Pass this on to your friends, family, co-workers & fellow hoopers. And FYI, we can now accept tax-deductible donations on the federal level. :)

As we've all been saying during our training treks through Nashville, we're doing this for anyone & everyone who has or will be affected by breast cancer. I'm doing this in memory of my grandmother & aunt but also for my mom, sister, friends, YOUR mom, YOUR best friend, the random chick in the coffee shop...I could go on.
