Yep, I can totally relate! I have been hooping for two weeks and am totally addicted but I have very little space and a three-year-old who I don't think quite understands the danger of walking towards a moving hoop! I got him a little hoop, too, and sometimes it works to keep him occupied and sometimes it doesn't. I've been lucky that our weather has been relatively warm for December so we've been going outside to play for the past week and I hoop while he runs around the yard--though I know not everyone has that option, for various reasons. We just gotta do the best we can to find those free moments. I know how it is when you have to choose between laundry/dishes/cleaning up toys and hooping, though. :-)  New hooping mommies definitely have an additional challenge to add to the process! :-)

Mine will be 2 JAnuary 1st and we have a nice sized yard and it's been pretty warm here in NC but we don't have a fence and he's just too obsessed with cars right now for me to take him out there while I'm practicing. My husband's a marine so he works 12hrs a day or I'd be like "here play with your son while I go practice for a few hrs" lol. and ofcourse I want to spend time with him after he gets home too. maybe a trip to the park is in our future.

Haha, again, I totally relate. I am a single mom so there's no one I can really hand him off to most of the time, either.  My mom can watch him sometimes but I generally need to use my *babysitting credits* for more "important" things. :-)

Yea I can understand that for sure. I'd feel awful asking someone to babysit so I can hoop.lol. It must make it super hard being a single mom though. I gota get outside as much as possble this next week cause we're going back home for the holidays and it's going to be freaking coold in ky I just know it.

Can't you just sit them down or tie them down and tell them to hold still for an hour or two and watch Mommy?  And if they try to walk at the hoop, let them learn the hard way that they should listen?  LOL!  I obviously don't have children.

Haha, well I suppose sitting him in front of a movie is just about the equvilant to that. But I like to try to keep him activev and not sitting in front of the television too much. But sometimes I do turn on a movie for him,he usually sits trhouh at least the first half hour depending on what it is. He has walked into the hoop once already,big red mark across his forehead,i felt awful :/
