Since it is officially snowing here in Colorado, kind of unusual this early, I decided to make me pumpkin smoothie! Pumpkin has a ton of benefits for you, which is surprising when you think of how many people actually eat them versus carving them. They have 3 antioxidants, loads of fiber, and almost 50% of your required vitamin A in a half cup. Try out my smoothie and let me know what you think!

1/2 Cup Pumpkin Puree (canned or your own preparation)
1/2 Cup Milk, almond or soy are great choices
1/4 Cup Vanilla Yogurt
4 Ice cubes
1/8 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Nutmeg

Blend and enjoy!

If you have any supplements in the powder or oil for you take you can throw them in and won't even notice them! I added kelp and flax oil to mine.

Hmm sounds like a pumpkin pie smoothie! I will have to try this one. (The snow has seem to have come early this year.)
