hi! congrats on learning the helicopter! i love how that trick looks :)
i know some girls who used to get together on thursday nights last winter at the 54th street rec center because it was ladies night and the gym was usually pretty open. a rec center membership is $35 for 6 months so it was a great deal. i haven't heard talk of anyone doing it for this coming fall and winter but i'm just putting it out there in case you are interested and can convince some friends to join you.
also, have you considered checking out the groovehoops class? it's on monday nights for $12. it's a great way to meet other nyc hoopers. i plan to go this monday.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! Thursday night would be great and u definitely have a couple of other peeps who would join me if that was still going on, so please letme know if you hear anything! Right now I have class on Monday nights but I could do that after December :)

hey ya! the monday class is great, I try to make it as often as I can. Kayti is also a good friend of mine, we camped together at burning man and she should be back next week so I assume her class is on, she's a great hooper. In general I would love a hoop jam tho so keep me posted!

The Monday class is at 8pm, its at the 14th St. Y on near 1st Ave on 14th St. Was there last monday learning new tosses like the 'pizza toss', cool shit! shouts to squiddie, becky party, kristina, miss saturn, all the playas...(which they all should be on here if they're not!)
