The unknown potential of the hoop...I want to understand more...

Today I have been wondering why the hoop is so powerful?

Why does it make people feel so good?

What it actually is that makes the hoop so powerful transformation tool?

Is it the balancing and activating of the chakras?

Is it the round shape that speaks to our soul about wholeness and infinite connection?

I'm just so fascinated by these thoughts <3

Do you have any thoughts on this?

Very interesting thoughts. I'd like some insight into these also. :) I have yet to actually start hooping; but once I do, hopefully I'll be able to at least give you my personal opinion.

I think it offers such a sense of accomplishment. I, myself, get so excited (almost giddy) when I finally "master" a move. And by "master" I mean manage to make it work not on accident, at least twice in a row. :-)  I see the same feeling in my daughter when she figures something out, and I've realized that it has been a long time since I felt so excited about something, and even longer when I jumped for joy because I figured something out, or did something I was trying to do.

Sunny: I would love to hear your personal opinions on this! :)

Heather: Yes, I feel this too! I have jumped for joy so many times :D It is the best feeling in the world when you figure out a new move to use in your dancing. I haven't gotten this feeling from anything else in a while (in many years) except for playing guitar and hooping. With hooping this is clearest and feels the best.

Hooping is great because I can do it on body and off body. With pois and a stick I haven't found this passion to practice daily.

Here is one perspective.

It is from Hooposophy -blog (which I love!) and the writer speaks about serotonin and dopamin and why hooping is very effective in producing them :)
