Hey hoopers!
I am getting married on April 30, 2011 and couldn't be more excited to marry my love. However, with this beautiful and exciting day getting SO close, I am realizing that planning the wedding (my best friend and I are working together for this) is a looooot of stuff. Really, all my fiance and I have worked out is finding the place for the ceremony and the reception and the after party (oh yea, we're doing the day up right). But pretty much, that's it.

We want the wedding to be as eco-friendly and vegan as possible, which is difficult in this area. We also would like to keep the cost down as much as possible because we aren't paying for the wedding day....just the honeymoon. So we decided that we would do most of the work ourselves and our friends have volunteered to help us out. Our ceremony is in a New Orleans inspired garden at sunset and our reception is in a ball room on the same location. Our after party is in a community center that will allow drinking, hooping, spinning, hopefully some fire play. Our 'theme' is really loose. lol. It's an eco-friendly, small romantic garden wedding and the colors are peacock colors. You know, blue, purple, green and very small hints of actual peacock feathers.

*sigh* If you have any suggestions for decoration ideas for any part of the wedding, please feel free to leave them here. It just feels good to actually write out all of my worries.

Honestly, I don't care if we have a fabulous wedding, as long as we are together. Man, that's really cheezy. :)

That sounds awesome...I have a dream of having beautiful hoops in my wedding(whenever that will be!)

If you're worried about flower costs I know there are places that rent plants out...you could do that and have a bouquet for yourself...also I know a lot of girls make special bouquets for their bridesmaids that represent their personalities...they make them out of anything, twigs, lights, tissue paper, beads, etc. You could also grow your own plants for centerpieces, etc.

Haha, that's not cheesy at all! That's pretty much how I feel about Michael and I's wedding. It doesn't really have to be this big production as long as we are together surrounded by friends and family. :)
