I think probably the most common question ive come across since all this began is "why do you do it?" and it's never an easy question to answer because there are just so many answers. health. fitness. friends.

but just recently have i really discovered how much the hoop means to me.

i've been under immense stress for the past several months, and it seems like things just keep piling up, one bad thing after the other. yet, somehow, ive managed to (for the most part) keep my sanity. and the only thing i can really attribute it to is my hoop and my friends.

it's like when you are out there spinning, nothing else matters. you are able to clear your mind and just focus on the way the hoop feels moving around your body. it always been hard for me to really feel the spirtual part of yoga, but the hoop has finally hit that in me. my favorite thing is to just close my eyes, and feel it. honestly, there is nothing in the world that is like it, and im amazed at how far it has brought me. and another thing, its like if it falls down, you can pick it up. i like that a lot. even when the flow stops, it can start right back up. theres never really a final stop. its very reassuring... no matter what happens, things will go around, and it will get better.

mmm. hoop.
