I have to confess that I used to be a hooper that was afraid of hooping popularity. That was prior to reading your words. I understand now my own fear and have overcome it. I value the friendship and wonderful people I have met since hooping. Some are newer to the hoop, and some always have something new to teach me. Every one of them find so much joy in hooping. It is beautiful!
I would like to thank you for your heart and your words which brought me to this new understanding. I read in a recent post that you expressed you may leave this community, and I would like to ask you to not go. Because the community needs you to continue to express your positive outlook and your love.
Just coming from someone who has experience as one who did fear the growth of our community :) thank you
Oh my gosh, Caroleena! Thank you, thank you for creating that fantastic tutorial on chest hooping! Nothing else made sense, nothing else helped until I watched that last night. I practiced for a bit (got the bruises to prove it), and I actually chest hooped 5 whole revolutions before I lost it. Chest hooping will be mine! LOL
please dont feel bad! i thought about just leaving it because it is good to have the discussions out there, but then i thought i really didnt want to cause anyone problems-- i was afraid that someone might see my original posting and not your (very necessary) response with it, and i didnt want to take that chance. i dont feel censored at all, and very much appreciate that you responded! you are very sweet and love to you too!!! ps- your tutorials are AWESOME, i have learned so much from you!
hi caroleeena, i just deleted the discussion about the friction tape. im so glad that you replied, i would have hated for the tape to have ruined peoples clothes or to have actually set them back in learning. (OH MY!!!)
ive just hooped with it for a few months and only indoors, so i wasnt really aware of those problems. (or perhaps i should have been clearer about what i use it for?) i thought that i had found something really helpful to share, but it sounds like it does have some negatives. oh well, i thought it was too good to be true!!! thanks for posting so quickly before i caused anyone problems! pheewwwwwwww!
Caroleeena... to be completely honest part of the reason I posted that blog is b/c I was hoping you would respond. I find such honesty, love, and logic from your responses. You made me cry, not tears of sadness, but tears of joy. I know that I was not living to my full potential in that relationship and that he was hold me back. I am feeling a freedom I have not felt in a long time and I am just starting to enjoy it. It is hard for my to even properly thank you for the kindness you just showed me... a complete stranger with the exception of a few limited comments on hoop city.
You are an amazing woman inside and out. I hope I can make it to an event in NC to meet you in person, because you will be met with one of the most heartfelt hugs. You are an inspiration, not only in the hoop but as a compassionate person. Your ability to empathize with others and give advice is a gift that you surely are not wasting.
I am sending love your way as well. You touched my heart today and I cannot thank you enough.
hey! Thanks for the welcoming, wish I could have met you when I was on the east coast...my grandma lives in Calabash, I should have stopped by and we couldah hooooped! any chance you're going to burning man?
lol you would get a kick out of my video of "hanging with my bf" cuz he is trying to do the whol three beat weave thing, lets put it this way, we are still learning lol
that would be great! i'm in jersey tho, so were not exactly close! but if ur ever up this way, let me know!! hopefully i'm gonna make it to one of the workshops by you eventually. i used to live in chapel hill, such a pretty area.
Hi Caroleeena, I have been watching your tutorials on Youtube and noticed you are on here too, wooo! I love Mulder and Icky, especially the vid of them cuddling up on your lap when Mulder is standing on Icky, so sweeeeeet! Happy hooping :-) x
Hi...... your hoop videos have been very helpful! you definitely have a gift!!! I am just outside Orlando, FL and about and hour NE of Tampa. Do you know where your playshops will be and when?? Don't want to miss out on them!!!!
