P.S. Hahaha apparently I need to pay more attention to the hoop community...just realized I met the two people that did the hoop version of Kill Bill...watched your vid a couple months ago and loved it. Also just found out you won! Congrats! That's awesome! Again it was good to meet you and hope to hoop with you again!
Thanks for your hoopy hospitality when I visited Madison. It was my first time visiting another city's weekly hoop jam. Think I'll have to do this everywhere I travel now. Loved your hoop space!! So much good energy and the music was great. Keep it up! Madison has some amazing hoopers!! I just might have to come back for Bluetech in May!!
Thanks so much for the invite. I look forward to meeting you and hearing about the Madison hooping scene. We started up a group in Bozeman this past summer and it has been steadily growing. It is always helpful to hear how it works other places. I feel so grateful that it worked out to catch the workshop on the way home. Montana doesn't have much to offer in the way of learning opportunities, so this is big for me. And Brecken - it doesn't get much better than that. The number you emailed me is missing a number, so if you resend it, I will give you a call. Thanks!
I'm flying in to Madison from Bozeman, MT tomorrow - friday 4/29 (to pick up a vehicle) and headed to Minneapolis on Saturday for the Brecken workshop (which I just found out about this morning - exciting) and was looking for a place to stay on Friday night. Do you have any space?
Oh, this is too funny! I just sent you a private message and friend request. Then I went to your site and realized it's the one I found via Google and have been recommending my family and friends visit. A lot of friends/family are in Madison and they keep seeing my pics and hearing about my hoops. When they were out this summer, I got them all hooping, found your site and said "Call her if you want a hoop!" It's really neat to make the connection here on Hoopcity!
I have not forgot about hooping! I will be back, but have been doing a renovation of my kitchen that is taking months of time. Missed you at the CCL birthday party. Nice that you have hoops there now!
Small world :)
Love it in "The Viroqua" quite a diverse little community. We actually live over near Liberty Pole.
I'm hoping to get good enough at hooping to become a certified teacher. I know there must be a few people in the area that are hoopers and just don't know it yet!
Maybe this summer I'll post a note at the Co-Op and see if anyone wants to get together for a regular hooping group.
Do you visit the area much?
I know that Sarah, Katy , and I would for sure come to learn with Baxter. I can ask around Hoop City too... I have a few friends from Wisconsin here. When are you going to possibly bring him?
There is another spin jam that a friend of mine is putting together a spin jam in Madison (for Poi, goop, juggling, etc.) on Sundays at Dance Fabuluos (Henry St., just off State) on Sundays from 6 or 7 untik 8 or 9. He has said that the space is awesome with large mirrors and plenty of space. I thought the timing was perfect, because it would allow me to go to both jams while I am in town. If you are interested in being added to the e-mail list get in touch with Matt at firstname.lastname@example.org. He is a juggles and spins poi.
