I think it is 3/4 inch black tubing that I bought at lowes . . . I can't remember because it has been a while since I made those, and I am in Korea now, so I can't look to see what it is. I miss my minis....I was not able to pack any hoops for korea :(  

But exciting news...they have hoops at workout stations to play with all over the place here in Seoul :)
