Hey everyone. I have joined this group because I have never been to Hawaii, but I will be moving there this august most likely to the Oahu island. My husband will be attending college there so we will be there for a few years maybe more depending on how things go, how much we like it there, how we deal with being away from our family, etc. I have been fascinated with Hawaii since I was little and I am excited to be going and living there, but before anything is even finalized I am already feeling homesick and scared to leave, but won't stop me from leaving because I'm leaving IL!!! It's not like I love where I am now and my family and I have a strange relationship which is a whole other story to be told some other time. I was wondering how many of you are living on the islands with family on the mainland and how you guys deal with it. :) If everything finalizes I can't wait to meet some of you hoopers on the islands!

@Sir Trifugal Force - ALOHA! Isnt Hawaii BLISSFUL?!

Well consider yourself HOOPED UP for the island of Oahu! Representing the "Meeting Place" here in Honolulu. There are a handful of us,  by the time you come back we will have multiplied!! :) We create hoopers everyday and it is such a blessing to witness it. *tear* 8)

Hi Everyone!  I do not live on the islands but go there, with hoops in tow, for a few weeks every year.  I just got home to Canada from the Big Island a short while ago and can not stop thinking about it.  If all plans out next winter I will be coming down for 2-3 months and I would love to have some hoop connections before I get there.  What Island is everyone on?

Hi Anna.  We make two different sized hoops at this point.  You are welcome to try them out at the park.  We usually have a number of practice hoops to play with out there.  You should definitely come out, we always love to see new faces :)  Hope the hoop is serving you well......take care! Aloha!

Thanks so much! Maybe this Saturday! Excititng! How many peopel come and join you? I have a 12yr old who also started hooping as well... She is picking it up well! She is teaching me -lol!! Do you know if there are any stores to buy sturdy hoops or just online? I am just using one I got from Sports Authority...  Just for now...

hey anna, if you ever make it out to town area, saturday nights at 5 pm are the hoop jam at Ala Moana Beach Park.
