Hooping Classes

This series is great for those who are new to hooping or are just beginning their journey into this art form. Here we will learn a variety of tricks to get us started and flowing with the hoop. Even if you are already comfortable with several moves on the tutorial list, this class will provide you with information to help solidify your skills and add flow to your movement. This series is great for those who have been hoop dancing awhile and feel comfortable manipulating and dancing with their hoop. Here we'll add new tricks to our vocabulary and become more comfortable with chest hooping and knee hooping. We'll have a continued focus on combining moves to help us create our own personal hoop dance. Check out the class outlines for a list of the moves taught in each class.

This series is great for those who have a good amount of "flight-time" under their hooping belt. Here we will play with unique and flashy moves inspired by rhythmic gymnastics (don't worry, we don't have to be bendy) and play with putting all the pieces together, allowing us to move freely from vertical chest hooping to horizontal moves quickly and smoothly. Check out the class outlines for a list of the moves taught in each class.

Poi style mini hooping will open up a whole new world of hooping. Many of these moves can also be done with larger hoops as well so if you're interested in working with twins. This class can be a great introduction to working with two hoops at once.

We'll learn the physics of stopping the hoop and reversing it quickly, slowly or with a freeze break. Breaks can add a whole new element to your hoop dance. Enjoy the ability to keep the beat with any style of music by breaking to the rhythm of the music. Also use breaks to "save" the hoop during messy situations and "mistakes".

Multi Hooping Class
Multi hooping is not mandatory for creating a successful hoop performance but to be honest, it certainly does help! Every hooper has had someone ask "how many can you do at once?" People like to see more and multi hooping with three or more hoops makes for a dramatic and climactic finale. In this class we'll learn how to hoop with twins and with triples using enough variety to create an impressive and flowing hoop dance. As well you'll learn how to maintain a set of four or five hoops at once. We'll discuss transitions and various ways to add each new hoop and how to create a sequence that will engage and excite your audience.

Mix and Match Class Packages
Interested in more then one of the additional classes? You can mix and match two classes and save $15.00! There is no discount for purchasing all three classes but you'll save when registering for more than one.

1. I understand class content is a resource in progress and new tutorials are still being added until the class outlines are completed.

2. I understand that my invitation to the class will be sent out on Wednesdays. If I register on Wednesday I understand my invite may not be sent until the following Wednesday.
